Old Man River

Old Man River

One of our shows this year for Marching Band is Old Man River, so we, the BYU color guard, decided to get into character and went canoeing down the Provo river in a 20 person canoe! It was a blast!!!! Dustin and one of the other girl's on guard's husband came along. Dustin almost pushed me in a number of times, partially because I kept standing up, haha. And Ashlee actually caught me off guard and gave me a good shove off the dock when we got out. HAHA (well that's what the pic looks like anyway--it will be up soon).
This is when I maneuvered myself to the front of the canoe and stood up and leaned over the front like the statue on the front of big boats, haha, then I turned around for a pic.

AW SO CUTE!!

I finally got a chance to put up some pictures from our trip to Hawaii! :D Enjoy!

OUR CAR
We ended up renting a mustang convertable, it was really cool! Dustin loved driving it, and the lady gave us a fantastic deal on our upgrade! Thanks Aurora :)

PEARL HARBOR
Our first stop was Pearl Harbor, that was such a cool experience, we got to tour one of the original submarines and go out to the USS Arizona memorial. I am so grateful to all the men and women who fought for our freedom in WWII, including my Grandpa Hayden.
USS Arizona Memorial.

DOLE PLANTATION
We also went to the original Dole Pineapple Plantation, that was pretty cool, they had pineapples from all over the pacific islands, some were tiny and some even red.
i asked for a water cup, this is what i got, haha

DIAMONDHEAD

We also hiked up diamond head crater, that was pretty sweet because for part of it you're inside the edge of the mountain.
The view from the top was Beautiful!
This was my favorite ice cream they had, it was called haupia (coconut) but was super creamy with no chunks and just the flavor, the bottom one was chocolate macadamia nut, DELICIOUS!

The Polynesian Cultural Center
This was one of my very favorite things we did on our trip! It was so cool to be there and see all the cultures, we tried this pasty stuff called poi that they make bread and things out of, it was interesting.Poi
And of course Dustin had some tropical icecream :D hahaHe also threw a spear, it was sort of a game to see who could through it closest to the target
what a man! ;D I LOVE HIM!
At the Lu'au dinner we had they called all of the people there for their honeymoon/wedding anniversary to come up and they played the hawaiian wedding song for us as we all slow danced, it was really cool, there were a couple of couples there for their 50th anaversary!
Dustin even made fire by rubbing two sticks together, well he tried any way, it was really hard, I think only the big polynesian guy acutally got it to work.

THE BEACH
We spent some time out on the beach of course, haha. One of the days Dustin did some body boarding, it was fun to watch him, we also sat out and watched the sunset sometimes at night on the beach, that was so cool!
What a wonderful honeymoon with such a wonderful husband!!!!! :D

Reception in Kennewick
Our reception in Kennewick was really fun. It was so great to see lots of old friends and loved ones.

So somehow my dad's pants didn't make it down to the church. Someone went to get them but for a while he was wearing this. I have to say it's true Arbon fashion, haha :D Love you Dad!
Ok so Elayna said she wasn't going to try and catch the bouquet but she'd stand with her hands out and if it fell into them...well haha it pretty much did, but Tia caught it out of them, hum...what does that mean Elayna? haha Love You!
A special thanks to Kim Colman who made my bridesmaid dresses, what a fantastic job she did!
Also I am so grateful for Kirsten Week who helped with the food the entire time, thank you so much.

And a special thank you to N. Henning Photography for taking all of our photographs.

No Gas in the Car
So Dustin and I went to Tacanos the week of the wedding with our parents. Dustin and I were coming from Lehi and meeting our parents there. Too bad we weren't paying attention to the amount of gas in the car and for the record the gas light doesn't work. Because we ended up on the side of the freeway with NO GAS! Luckily my parents were about ten minutes behind us so they brought us some.

and we made it to tacanos!!
